1974 MGB

I have my 1974 red MGB for sale. Anyone interested call 352-573-1965. The first $7,000 takes it.

Mike Nemetz

1978 MGB

Purchased car in 1992, had 92K miles when purchased Has 99K now, so I put about 7K on in 15 years.

- British Racing Red (Orange), and yes Rubber Bumpers (which I understand can be painted)
- Top in good shape, but has one small tear and window is sunfaded
- Has painted wire wheels (Complete wire-wheel spare, Thor wrench in the boot)
- New Tires about 500 miles on rubber ($450)
- New motor mounts ($200)
- Carbs just rebuilt (6 months ago-Dual-side Draft Webers) and steering redone ($700) + gas tank drained and checked, no leaks; had pollution control removed before I purchased the car

- New ignition ($200)
- New exhaust system from exhaust manifold back ($600)
- Radiator redone (2x - $75-125 ea)
- Cooling fans replaced ($100+, 2x)
- Numerous other repairs over the years ($1000)

Paid $3200 for car, and have conservatively put $3000-4000 in it since I owned it. Compression is around 25 ft/lbs, so will need to be rebuilt at some point. But runs good.

I'd like to get $2200 for it if I could. Does that seem reasonable? If someone wants a project car that they could turn into a show piece, this has good bones, and only a little rust around the left drivers window.

Thx for your help.

66 Austin Healey Sprite - MkIII 1098cc - HS4 Carbs - The Sprite is pretty much as I bought it except for rebuild carbs (it runs beautifully), rebuilt front brake calipers(stops nicely), new SU fuel pump. $3500 . Mike Metroka pixelthis@tampabay.rr.com

I have a 1978 MGB for sale. New tires, new conv. top. Also have convertible boot and tonneau cover. Engine redone about 15,000 miles ago and has a little over 100k on it. Just put on a new Weber downdraft and it runs very nice now. Could be a daily car. Heater, wiper, washer, lights, radio all work. Lower panels are solid. Trunk has a dink from someone trying to shut it with the prop up but have a replacement trunk lid to go with the car.

Car has overdrive transmission but just recently stopped working – two MG mechanics told me most probably electrical or solenoid ball seal – both easy to fix. Email me for more information or pictures. Car can be seen in Palm Harbor, FL. Have over $6,000 in it but willing to negotiate since I just bought another convertible and have too many toys to take care of. Leo leoklim@earthlink.net

Well.....my MG is dead. The engine blew last week and need to be replaced. The rest of car is fantastic (see pic) and most of you have seen it at shows and at our club events). It has a new top, new rack, new dash, new wiring. The car has 100,500 miles on it and other than the engine everthing else is great. I could replace the engine and have a cherry MGB again, but I'm thinking of selling it as is, and buying a fully restored MGA or an MGB LE. My little orange MGB is sitting at Glenn's MG Repair in ST Pete so stop by and see it and let me know if you'd like to make me a offer I can't resist. Steve 813-508-4697 281-664-3560 eFax

I am a former TR6 owner and I’m in the market for another after a twenty year absence. Could you provide me with some information on how to go about finding one here in the central Florida area? Any leads you could provide would be most helpful. Thank you kindly for your efforts with this matter.
