How to apply for renewal of Hana Card credit/debit card expiry date
I was using the Hana Global Pay Amex debit card as a secondary payment method because I needed to apply an overseas billing address when making overseas direct purchases, but it was not used automatically when the expiration date of the Hana Card expired. I received the following cell phone message.

So, it sounds like you need to apply for renewal of the Hana Card before the credit card expiration date, but the main card automatically renews and arrives without such guidance. I don’t know why it’s such a fuss this time. So I looked up the terms and conditions on the Hana Card website.
When I accessed the “Customer Center – Product Disclosure Room – Terms/Forms – Terms” menu, I was able to see the following.

Article 2 (Expiration date and reissuance of card)
① The expiry date of the card is written on the surface of the card.
② Regarding the card whose expiration date has arrived, the card company notifies the member deemed appropriate as a member one month prior to the date of renewal issuance, and if there is no objection from the member within 20 days after the notification, the new expiration date is written. We will issue a renewal card.
③ In the case of a member who has not used the card within 6 months prior to the renewal issuance date, renewal is issued only when the member agrees in writing.
I checked to see if this is a unique regulation of KEB Hana Card, and it was also stated in Article 6-6 of the Enforcement Decree of the Specialized Credit Financial Business Act (renewal or replacement issuance of credit and debit cards). In the end, it seems that this is common to all card companies such as Shinhan Card and BC Card.
Anyway, I went to the Hana Card homepage and found the expiration date renewal issuance menu and applied for a check card renewal.

I searched and entered “My Page – Personal/Card Information – Expiring Card (Inquiry/Issuance)”.
▲ (Cards that are not automatically renewed) => A menu like this appears, and a list of applicable cards appears below.
When I clicked the Renewal Request button…
▲ They encouraged me to choose my card collection point at home or at work. Click the Renewal Request button to complete the process.
▲ A few days later, a renewal Hana Card with an expiration date of up to 2025 arrived.
